Sometimes the effect you want can only be achieved by adding a little embellishment and texture or additional colour, and other times you simply need to have colour on both sides of a stick of FP (jewellery, vessels etc). Below are some of the materials I use to do this. I combine these materials with metal powders, acrylic paint, permanent markers and permanent ink pads or solvent based inks. The effects are unique to and make recycling your scraps of FP and re-colouring them a joy of experimentation.
Metal Flake Item No: MF £3.75inc VAT
A brilliant addition to our range of colourants, Metal Flake can be rolled or rubbed in to the reverse side of a hot FP strip to give colour to both sides. Use it to recolour your scraps, or to add a surface metal lustre to Friendly Plastic Pellets. It can be combined with pigment powders, or used like glitter. Works really well with other craft mediums - use as inclusions in paper making or silk papermaking or fusing in Angelina fibres, sprinkle on card making projects or add to textiles. And when you eventually finish your pot of Metal Flake the little plastic box is great for beads!

Perfect for colouring the reverse of your FP strips, this is really handy for jewellery making or vessels where both sides need to be visible. Briefly heat the back of a stick of FP until just tacky and then apply foil. Cool and peel off. Works brilliantly with other colouring mediums such as metal and pigment powders, pens and permanent inks.

Use with double sided adhesive sheet to create shapes (use your punches) for your projects. The discs of colour in the pictures to the left are punched from the A4 double sided sheet. It is soft and very sticky but it does not gunk up your needle when sewing in to it.
